Workshop: "Finishing School"                                   

With the RNQG Quilt Show only a month away, it is likely that several (many?) guild members have some finishing touches to put on their show pieces. During this hands-on guild meeting, you will learn how to

• cut a quilt binding strip, 
• attach a binding with perfectly mitered corners,
• make your binding ends join perfectly, 
• cut and attach a hanging sleeve and
• design a label for your quilt.

Each topic will be described and demonstrated. Participants will then be given the opportunity to work on their own quilts for a short period of time before instruction for the next topic begins.

Each participant will receive a reference sheet to bring home so they can complete their projects with confidence.

Diana is a familiar face at RNQG meetings, having held several board positions over the years.

She is a professional machine quilter who “loves [her] job.” An experienced teacher of piecing and quilting techniques, Diana started a longarm quilting business in 2007. Customer quilts have appeared in national magazines and many have received prizes. Though she has little time left to complete personal projects, she has received awards for some of her own creations.

Always modest she says, “[I am] currently working on improving my skills.”
